Jimma Jaawwii Development Association JJDA) is an assembly of diaspora Oromos from the former “Jimma Gannati” and “Jimma Rare” district in Horro Guduru province of Wallaga, Oromia. The association aims to bring a sense of community and encourage members to stand together, support each other in good and bad times, and also to create an organized communication channel to compatriots at home in Oromia. The association, among others, shall strive to contribute to humanitarian endeavors, economic, social, and cultural developments through professional, financial, and sociocultural empowerment of the local community.

The Vision
JJDA aspires to spur community development through empowerment and collaboration. By uniting the diaspora and the home districts, and by capitalizing on the talents of professionals, the association aspires to make a positive impact on social, economic, and environmental aspects of Jimmaa Gannati and Jimmaa Raaree districts in Oromia.
Mission
By tapping into the intellectual and financial resources from its diaspora, the JJDA endeavors to address the humanitarian and development needs of the JJ community. Through promoting education, productive engagement and positive behavioral changes, the association aims to contribute to the long-term well-being and economic development of Jimmaa Oromo community.

Services
Agriculture and Environment
The JJ community is primarily an agrarian society whose livelihood is largely dependent on agriculture. The community practices a wellintegrated mixed farming system that maintained the natural ecological balance for centuries.
Art and Culture
As part of the greater Maccaa Oromo branch, the JJ community have amassed various cultural heritages including tangible cultures such as books, various types of art works, artefacts describing the life of ancient Oromo society, and the scared landscapes and holly sites. T
Social Services
The Social Services component of our activity focuses on fostering a sense of community and support among members of JJDA. We strive to create a strong sense of community and togetherness among members of our association through organizing and facilitating events that encourage social interactions, blending of diverse social circles, and networking.
Education and Development Services
Besides empowerment and mutual support of members, JJDA actively engages in education and development endeavors to serve the Oromo community in general, and that of JJ in particular. The JJDA will work with local communities to identify critical educational and development needs and strive to make interventions
